Mack Trucks Suncorp Piazza

Mack Trucks remain one of the most recognisable and respected manufacturers in the transport industry, and for the National sales launch of their impressive new fleet the Suncorp Piazza in Brisbane was chosen as the venue. Reflecting the colours of their branding identity, enormous red and black lycra triangles were hung from the ceiling whilst the tables were finished in red, black and silver.

Maintaining an element of surprise was always going to be a challenge, especially when you want to conceal four 10 tonne trucks. To do this, each of the trucks were covered in 200 square metres of red satin with each cover rigged up to individual pulley systems in the ceiling. To a beguiling soundtrack, four aerial artists appeared around the venue and proceeded to scale up several metres in the air on red tissue silks for a mesmerising opening performance.

As they descended from the ceiling, an air of expectation filled the room in anticipation of the reveal of the new fleet. Suddenly all four red satin covers simultaneously flew off the trucks, and as the covers disappeared into the ceiling large bursts of flame shot up around the perimeter of the venue... ‘ladies and gentlemen, the new breed of Mack’.

Following this, eight contemporary dancers from the company Raw Suga exploded on to the stage and eventually made their way down on to the floor where at the culmination of this sequence they rolled out red carpets from each of the trucks.

After some short speeches, Dean Bestwick from Mack Australia then invited everyone to have a good look over the new fleet whilst Pop Deluxe provided a background of light entertainment for the remainder of the evening.
