Indy Ball 2007

aNE goes Burlesque for Indy...

Raunchy and risqué burlesque was the theme for this year’s Indy Ball held at Conrad Jupiter’s Ballroom on the 19th of October. Red and black table linen complemented by large purple feathers as table centrepieces set a distinctive colour mood for the evening.

Subdued and seductive lighting added to this overall ambiance whilst a galaxy of stars formed the backdrop to the main stage. A colourful range of entertainers including aerial tissue performers and roving burlesque dancers provided a large dose of glamour and sex appeal for the night.

Set in the middle of the room and atop an impressive circular stage, a large martini glass provided the platform for a feature performance by Rachael St. James. Sensual and exotic, this performance was a visual feast as Rachael was joined by the dancers who were adorned with large white feathers. However, the night was not over yet. To the surprise of all, another stage had also been built at the other end of the venue and nobody was left guessing as the curtains opened and one of Australia’s most recognised rock icons appeared on stage.

Jimmy Barnes requires no introduction and from the very first power chord it was evident that Jimmy had not lost any of his appeal as all the guests made their way to the dance floor and ‘rocked out’. Lisa Hunt and her band then rounded off a great night with a fantastic selection of soul and dance numbers. Working once again as a turnkey solution for their client, aNE produced the floor plans, sourced all theming and table décor, designed and implemented all production elements, and production managed the entire show from start to finish.

‘The 2007 Indy Ball at Conrad Jupiters, designed and implemented by Douglas Fabian Productions Pty Ltd, represented a significant break from past design approaches and much of the success of this major corporate event can be put down to the superb technical direction and management skills of Tony Noble from A Noble Event. Tony rolled with some rather unusual creative punches and his delivery was flawless’.
