Tony Noble

CREATIVE PRODUCER & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Tony Noble is an event industry veteran with over 40 years of experience as an Event Technical Director and Event Specialist. He has a keen eye for detail, a creative flair for design, and an extensive knowledge of technical aspects, spanning disciplines such as staging and set design, lighting, sound, audio-visual theming and décor, and project management.

Throughout his career, Tony has worked with prestigious companies such as Opera Queensland, Queensland Ballet, and the Royal Queensland Theatre Company, and has managed events all over Australia and internationally, including Singapore, Fiji, Tahiti, Hong Kong, and the USA.

Tony's passion for his work is evident in his holistic approach to each project, where he collaborates closely with clients to understand their vision and turn it into reality. His client-centred philosophy is underpinned by his belief that attention to detail is key to delivering a successful event. Tony's ultimate satisfaction is derived from seeing the joy on his clients' faces when their vision comes to life.

Jodie mcdonald (Hunter-smith)

CREATIVE EVENT DIRECTOR

A firm believer in living your passion, Jodie was fortunate to find her passion at a young age.

Inspired by all aspects of creative arts that involved music, visual arts, dance, drama and storytelling. However, it was not in this field that her story began, completing studies in business marketing, travel and tourism. Her corporate path was set but it wasn’t long until the creative world showed up in the industry of special events.

With the mix of both worlds Jodie was able find a juxtaposition between corporate and creative. What followed continues to inspire Jodie in her work and personal life. She stands by her motto of RELATIONSHIPS are everything and the bigger picture is always front of mind.

james kenny

OPERATIONS MANAGER / LIGHTING SPECIALIST

The go-to guy for making events shine (literally), James is A Noble Event’s Operations Manager and lighting guru. Having been in the industry since ’85, James has worked on many major events in QLD throughout his career.

James attended QUT (back when it was known as Brisbane College of Advanced Education) and has most recently worked as the Senior Lighting Technician at QPAC. Despite his immense knowledge in the lighting department, his expertise crosses over into staging and integrated systems rigging, which has earned him the nickname Shimmy for his fearlessness of heights.

When he's not navigating the event scene, James transforms into a tabletop gaming enthusiast and the undisputed champion of trivia nights. Known as Professor James, he will answer any question you ask him – and then some you didn’t. His philosophy? Why say in 10 words what you can say in 1000?

Anthea Smythe

SENIOR DESIGNER

Anthea is a powerhouse Industrial Designer with 15 years of experience, specialising in major events, custom exhibition stands, and retail design.

Based predominantly in Melbourne before making the move to Queensland a few years ago, Anthea's portfolio boasts a string of impressive projects for brands including The Body Shop, Australian Tennis Open, Melbourne Cup, Foxtel and ANZ, to name a few.

When she's not designing world-class experiences, Anthea can be found running her very own online shop, where she sells her unique and quirky hair clips and stickers. Her designs are a true reflection of her personality - fun, colourful, and full of character. With Anthea, you can always expect the unexpected.

Despite her petite stature, Anthea is a force to be reckoned with. Her passion for design is infectious, and her determination to bring her clients' visions to life is truly inspiring. Whether she's creating immersive environments for major events or dreaming up new designs of her own, Anthea's creativity knows no bounds.

MARK PORTER

PRODUCTION MANAGER EVENTS

Mark is not your typical production manager. He's a creative force to be reckoned with, bringing a unique blend of imagination, organisation, and fun to every event he works on. With 35 years of experience in the industry, Mark has seen it all - from the most extravagant galas to the wildest music festivals.

What sets Mark apart is his talent for theming and staging. He's a master at transforming any space and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Mark isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and he'll do whatever it takes to ensure every element of an event is perfect.

But Mark's talents don't stop at event production. He's also a DJ and entertainer, known for his eclectic taste in music and his ability to keep the dance floor packed all night long. When he's not working or spinning tunes, Mark loves to sail and loves nothing more than spending a day out on the water with his friends.

If you stop by his office, you're likely to find him munching on a zooper dooper, and he's always quick to offer one to anyone who stops by. It's just one more way that Mark brings a little bit of fun and joy to everything he does.

LEO HERREYGERS

SCENIC ARTIST

Leo's passion for the arts is palpable in every aspect of his life, from his decades-long career in theatre prop work to his flourishing career as a musician and artist. He has poured his heart and soul into the arts, with a passion for painting that has led him to open four art galleries over the years.

As a key member of Team Noble, Leo brings his boundless creativity and passion to every project he works on. His artistic vision is second to none, and he takes great pride in creating unforgettable experiences through his projects.

Throughout his career, Leo has consistently demonstrated his ability to transform any idea into a breath-taking work of art. His artistic talent is truly awe-inspiring, and his contributions to the arts and entertainment industry are immeasurable.
